The requirements of the State educational standard for Russian as a foreign language (3rd level) consolidate a certain range of topics, some of which require compliance with the criterion of topicality. The compliance with this criterion is often difficult to achieve for various reasons, including constantly occurring changes in reality. Authors of textbooks try to take into account the transformations observed in everyday lives, however, the time necessary to write the textbook and the peculiarities of the publishing process often entail the loss of relevance of the texts used, and, consequently, additional materials prepared on their basis also become out-of-date. A successful solution was found by foreign countries using informational news platforms to promote their languages. In Russia such projects have not been launched yet, which leads to an increase in the workload of teachers, who on their own prepare materials for classes on the basis of current topics in order to meet the requirements, achieve inclusion of students in reality, maintain motivation for the language and country, get better results thanks to the interest of students, etc. To facilitate the work of foreign language teachers, the author has prepared some methodological materials which can be used as a ready-made material for the lesson or as a model to prepare teaching materials.
